Tired chassis wiring.
Looking for recommendations on wiring replacements. '79 SIII 109 reg w/ brittle, tired insulation and a growing number of ground issues. Do most of you search out new harness or make each leg you need? Is there such a thing as good used wiring that folks will sell? I'm looking for a set if so. Thanks for any help.

Re: Tired chassis wiring.
There are three routes I've seen taken.
1) Make your own. Lowest cost, most labour. Quality depends on the person... Does allow you to change to more modern connectors.
2) Get an aftermarket harness and fit to car. More cost. Fair amount of labour. Quality should be good but still has some dependance on the installer.
3) Get a fitted harness. Most cost. Least work. Known quality...

On the plus side a Series truck is very simple.

Hey Antur, I replaced the harness on my SII, bought one from Aart at UK Trek and Traction, worked a treat. Make sure you get the correct one for all your bits, you can spend a while trying to figure out what those two pink wires go to. Oh wait, I don't have that...
good luck
