Hi, I saw this splendid looking Land Rover on another Canadian Land Rover site and wondered if anyone knew the owner? I'm wanting to know the colour please - which is great but not necessarily a standard for this model (series 3). It has an interesting plate! Thanks

Very nice Land Rover

Looks like Sandglow Yellow to me? (just a guess). I would say your photo is Matt Sandglow and this one is gloss Sandglow ....

Looks like it could be Highway Yellow. I have a 1959 which looks very close in color.

I'm with Andy on this one. Sandglow for sure. Used on the Camel Trophy trucks. Highway or AA yellows are quite different when the paint is fresh but I agree they can fade or oxidize to look similar to sandglow.

Thanks everyone. Part of me thinks this is a great colour but perhaps not period enough for my series 2 project (don't know if any series 2's were used as Camel vehicles).

Will post photos of the project as I go..

THAT is the colour my dad had when I was a kid. I've been trying to figure out what the actual colour was but I was only looking at glossy which didn't look quite right. Kind of a moot point for me now as I've settled on my 2a's factory original light green instead. Still I do love the look of that matte sandglow yelloe

Excellent. Happy to see someone else thinks Sandglow is a great colour!
