gas / diesel prices prince george 14 November - fyi

regular gas prices now range between 110.9 to 113.9 per litre whereas our diesel prices range between 131.9 to 143.9 per litre . I would like to think that our gas prices reflect the dropping price of oil ... not really sure why our diesel prices continue to remain high [ production costs ? ] other than supply & demand for diesel here in the north .

There's NO excuse, but excuse I've heard before is their tanks are still filled with the 'expensive' stuff and the price must stay until they buy new stock at the lower price. (Interesting that the price still increases INSTANTLY when oil goes up though.)
In this case, I'm guessing that they sell more gasoline than diesel, so they refill the gasoline tanks more often than the diesel tanks.
I've been pleasantly surprise on my last two fill ups and that very rare considering they're both V8s!

Diesel always goes up in the winter. A large portion of the States use it for home heating.

I bought diesel in Bellingham this week at $3.39 a galloon which is .85/litre when I went down to get my BFG M/T's for $195 each. Didn't question it just bought it :)

Diesel had dropped to around 1.30 around Abbotsford.
Still more than it should be though!

It doesn't include the exchange rate, but I bought US dollars a couple of years ago when the exchange rate was the opposite so I saved even more.....
My point was that diesel seems to be going down rather than up, even with the US cold snap. Most things to do with the US economy don't follow Economics 101 :shock:
