What happened to British Pacific - Series owners may not wan

On another LR site TeriAnn posted this info regarding the demise of British Pacific Parts
British Pacific was running in the red when the recession hit. Many of their customers decided not to spend money on their Rovers while thing were bad and uncertain. British Pacific AKA BritPac (no space) got bought out by Allmakes who wanted a subsidiarity retailer in the US. When that happened I lost my position as their web site designer since Allmakes had their own web staff and wanted to build a new web site that was a front end to the UK inventory database.
>
> Allmakes quickly found that they understood the US market even less and were loosing more money than BP had. They sold BP to Atlantic British for some $, discount access to Allmakes parts and to genuine LR parts (Allmakes is a major distributor of genuine parts and gets the lowest volume wholesale prices from JLR).
>
> When the sale went through, Steve, ex-owner, was let go along with at least one other and the rest of the staff was offered jobs. AB went through BP's parts stock and filled a big dumpster with low volume series parts then moved the rest of it to the AB building.
>
> Poof! British Pacific was reduced to a name on the Atlantic British web site and their 800 number was ported to the AB 800 number and a lot of the obscure low sales volume Series parts that BP kept for their Series customers are no longer available.
