I am looking for some cheap steel rims/ wheels. My local shop can't find them ordered the wrong bolt pattern etc.

Any idea's where to buy them or what brand etc.

Thanks!

They are not a pattern that is available from any normal wheel place. American Racing does make a wheel, but it is special order. You are best to buy from a Rover parts vendor. Whichever one you like. You need to decide on width and offset. Most aftermarket rims have less offset than stock.

Maybe a better question. What shop in BC or Alberta sells defender wheels original or aftermarket.
I can't find any.

TRS in Calgary probably has some. I thought there were Rover parts vendors on the coast? I would look at online options as well as they might be cheaper although shipping gets pricey. There are a few vendors in the states that have decent pricing. If you can drive to the border, shipping is usually not too bad. You can get them cheap in England, but you need to tag along on someone's container.

Your original post asking for "cheap" is not really possible unless you want used standard Defender rims. Those are usually fairly easy to locate from one of the many parts hoarders if you can convince them to part with the parts.

Hi Jeroen,
I concur with what Red 90 says. Ordering from England and piggy backing on someones shipment is going to be the cheapest 'new' option. Rovalution, UK Trek+Traction, Hesp, Rocky Mountain Products, all in Vancouver will either have some available or can bring them in for you. Jeremy at Rocky Mountain seems to be bringing larger shipments in regularly and can probably get you a set in a week or two. Used is always a nice cheaper option but steel wheels sell fast so you have to move fast when you see them available.

I checked auto wrecking yards and found a set for my 90. They are spare tire steel wheels from Discovery's. Two from Coombs, one in Nanaimo, two in Lumby and one in Calgary. Average cost was just under $65 plus taxes not including the time and fuel to drive to Lumby or Calgary.

I also bought a set of four original 1994 Defender aluminum wheels for about $800.(one born every minute) They won't fit mine.

The standard steel rims are fine. Any rims will do. I need to swap my ZU wheels for some standard rims.
I don't have time to wait, for a order that is why i am asking who knows where there are some defender wheels for sale used/ new no problem any will do. as long they are the same. LOL
The Problem is that almost no one has them in stock all special order.

Cheers Jeroen

There is a set in the for sale section. They are bead lockers and that puts up the price. I don't know how cheap you want. I have some OLD 5 inch wide wheels that look old and ugly. I could look to see if I can find something close to a set. Are you looking for any date code? Do you care if they are the really inset early type?

5×6.5 is one hard bolt pattern to find. I work at Big Country Customs. We could probably find some, but it probably would have took a couple days. lol

Wheel adapters are probably easier to find
