diesel consumption

hi - what is reasonable diesel consumption for a late 90's 300 tDi? litres/100km or US miles a gallon?
In what vehicle? What speed?
In a bone stock Disco or RR on stock tires and stock gearing as low as 8 l/100km at 100 km/h. As low as 9 in a Defender. Use goes up at higher speeds and with larger tires, roof racks or weight.
