Any club member thoughts on running any level of biodiesel through a 2.25L just rebuilt?

I have been reading on straight Veg oil for a 2.25 and there have been concerns about the Injector pump handling the heavier viscosity. It must be pre-heated or the pump will break. Not sure about bio diesel though. I am very interested to learn more.

Haven't done it on rover 2.25, but have used in other diesels. General issue with biodiesel is it attacks regular rubber quite ferociously. All seals need to be viton and any hose needs to be synthetic. If not you will have leaks all over the place in short order.

Never thought of that. I knew Gasohol played havoc with rubber, but never considered biodiesel would. I guess that makes sense as it's made of the same stuff!
