The Rover-Landers of BC

Hello all. First post long time lurker. I'm Kevin from Alberta and been wheeling for many years and owned a number of 4x4's (mostly jeeps) I also headed up the Highriders Club and ran the Highriders Challenge before giving it up in 2013. Was cruising a 1 Ton V8 YJ but as we age the wife and I are getting into more expedition trips then hardcore wheeling. Was getting a little tired of no heat and not being able to hear the stereo with the Jeep. The V8 jeep was like driving a sports car compared to the luxury of the Rover
Luv driving the Disco and it satisfies my need of always fixing or modifying something. But wow its under powered and the fuel mileage sucks! (Now I have diesel envy)

Hey Kevin,

Welcome to the Forum, nice photos. Those little caravans look cool!

If you think the 4.6 V8 is under powered then you will be very dissapointed with the TDi ....(my old 650cc Mini was quicker) it does do way better milage though!

Do the cam and timing gear....

After a ton of research on engine swaps it seems that its either to expensive or unsatisfactory results. I'm thinking I'll stick with the 4.6. For the same money it will scream and everything will work the way its designed (when it works) Mileage will still suck but it will be way more fun :)
