I am in the process of fitting a modified cam 3.9 into my 1989 RR classic. My problem is the current ecu is a 14cu and does not carry a non cat fuel map or any tune resistor for that matter. I have a 14cux and will be fitting that how ever from what I have read pin 5 on the 14cu is for air conditioning and pin 5 on the 14cux is the tune resistor. Do I just cut the wire to the air conditioning and add the tune resistor at the ecu pin 5 / 27 ? The next question i have is what does the wire to the air conditioning do at pin 5 on the 14cu ? Any and all experience and knowledge on this ecu swap is muchly appreciated.
