Regrettably, an international move necessitates the sale of my Defender. Before I go and post in the Vehicles section as well as Craigslist, Auto Trader, etc. I wanted some opinions on what I should ask for.
Thanks in advance for the suggestions / advice.

Re: What's it worth?
I remember your car from the aborted Britannia mine run. I think it's one of the nicest Defenders I've seen and probably the best a Canadian could legally get.
For the knowledgeable, the galvanized chassis is a BIG bonus. I don't remember the year of yours. If it's USA exportable, I'd advertise it there, and you could almost name your price.
You may have a price in mind of what it's cost you (chassis, resto, shipping). As it's very hard to price here, if you get what it 'owes' you and a little bonus, all is good.
Here, I've seen some nice 110s in the $30K to $40K range. Autotrader is currently showing a 2012 110 for $42K. It has the new bulgy bonnet, but I don't know how it ever got here legally?!?!
My guess is it would be a hell of a car for $45K (final sale price, NOT asking price). If you're willing to wait for the right buyer, you may be able to push it another $10K to $55K. However, that's only a guess.
What do others think?
On the other hand, if you need an immediate sale, I'll trade you even for my 97 Disco! It's got a :angry5: load of new parts!

Re: What's it worth?
That 2012 won't be gong anywhere other than back on a ship. If it is even here to start with. It's been advertised for a while now and smells of a scam.
If I had known you were going to be selling yours, I wouldn't have brought mine over
I would say $40k is probably about right as a final price (as it is RHD?) and I would actually try it on eBay.co.UK as a vehicle that is already in Canada, because that's where your best market will probably be - for forthcoming immigrants (£ currently up circa 10% this year against $ too).
Mine works out at about $30k including import duty to buy and get it here. No galv chassis on mine, but very good with all the rusty bits replaced and needs some minor work on the bulkhead.
Have a look at what good Canada-ready rebuilds are going for in the UK and add approx £1500 for getting it here and import duties to find the bottom price level and work up from there.
