HELP - itty bitty light bulb
Posted: Sat Apr 27, 2013 6:21 pm
Since there's no camping this weekend (good call considering the weather), I decided to give Ming, my 1997 Discovery a little TLC.
Thanks to the very kind Mr. e.prevost, Ming now has back the missing dash board hardware and some new floor mats. :D
As I found the dash board page in the Workshop Manual, I went about dismantling it to replace the non-working light for the heating/ventilation controls. (That's been on the "To Do" list since I got the car.)
I took the old bulb (clearly burnt out) to Lordco.
Lordco guy: "Wow, what a weird little bulb. I've never seen one like that!"
Me: "Do you have a replacement?"
Lordco guy: "No."
Me: "Other than the Land Rover Dealership, do you know where I could get a new one?"
Lordco guy: "No."
Any they say customer service is dead!
So, anyone suggest where to get a replacement? I'd prefer the Surrey/Delta/Langley area. I know LR Richmond and Rovalution could both help, but I was hoping for something closer.
The bulb says OS 12/1.2nOR. The Manual didn't list a Part #, but I'm doing Service Repair #86.45.73 as per the Discovery Workshop Manual.
