I just had my starter rebuilt as it would previously just click and not turn over the engine.

I reinstalled it and charged the battery now it just spins when i go to start the engine.

any suggestions on what to check?

I would check the solinoid. The plunger may not be working correctly, and not throwing out the starter gear. Another thing to check would be the gears on your flywheel.
