Hi Chris,

Saw your post on the BC4x4 list, glad you made it over here. Several of us in the local club run Range Rovers as trail rigs. As you may have read they are very capable and we like them. There are certainly some cheap ones out there. I prefer the earlier ones as they are simpler with less computer stuff. If I was to buy a N/A spec vehicle I think I would limit my search to nothing later than '89. That is not to say that the later ones are no good, this is just my personal preference. There was an older 2 door 4 speed for sale in the club, check this thread for description and pictures

All vehicles sold by dealers in N/A were from '87 in US and '89 in Canada (or something close anyway) and were 4 door automatics.

If your tastes run more on the wild side you can check the POR site for what mod's are being done by those with too much time on their hands
