On Saturday Sept. 8th the Victoria air museum is putting on a 70th anniversary battle of Britain show. They would like (OLD :bigsmurf: ) English cars to be part of the display. Be there at 11:00 AM sharp to drive in with the Old English Car Club from Nanaimo which is bringing down about 30 cars. Bonus is that there is FREE admission to the museum for car show participants.

Those of us from the Duncan area will be meeting in the Duncan Safeway parking lot at 9:15 to tag along with the convoy down to the Air museum.

If you are coming please contact Brian from the old English Car Club central Island branch to let him know you will be participating. Check the events page and follow the link.. (he is expecting 3 rovers so far )

Second show is Fort Rod Hill on Sept. 9th. Everybody knows about this one (but in case you don’t here’s a couple of links http://www.fortroddhill.com/info_fort_rodd_hill.html and http://www.oecc.ca/sib/index.htm ) .

Tell your friends and maybe we'll see you there! :D

Well two more British shows done for the year they were both great. Nice drives down to Victoria, nobody broke down or had to get towed so I guess they were a success. Two trucks on Saturday four on Sunday and good weather both days.

Future events for the Island.

Maybe a coffee night somewhere on the island? Anybody got any ideas when or where?

We may do a couple of fall color drives again in the next 3 or 4 weeks, if there is any interest. (Speak up)
Maybe up to the old Mount Airosmith ski hill via Lake Cowichan back roads. Maybe up to our usual Green mountain lunch spot.
