Mid island run March 24th

I'm planning on checking out some roads for the June rally. Also to take a person for a ride, wanting to see what 4 x 4ing is all about. Three hours including lunch by the river should about do it. Anyone interested in coming alone? No roof racks please. There is one sizable tree that angles across the trail and I clear it easily with my 6' 8" height but a guy I was with did some damage and he wasn't as tall. So- it is how you pick the track but you can sure do some damage.

I will try to be there. I've barely been able to try out the studded snows off road this year. Please guide me safely under the tree :)

I would love to but the truck is in the shop getting a new head gasket. It was supposed to be done tomorrow, but the medium length head bolts are back ordered.

I'm likely a no-show tomorrow. My Son is sick, and his Mother works all day. I should trade the Disco for a Prius; I'd save a lot on fuel and I'd get off road about as much (bitch, grumble, bitch)...

Great drive today. We got a bit of every thing, snow driving, water crossings, towing, wonderful sunshine and a excellant campfire and hot dog lunch. Thanks to every one who came out. The next event will be the Sanichton British Swap Meet in April.
See you there. Victor

I wish I could have gone, but I'm still waiting on head bolts. Have any pictures been posted? How deep was the water?
