The Rover-Landers of BC

I'm happy to find this forum and looking forward to share information with you.

before I'll bother you with questions I like to introduce myself: I (Christian, german) and my girlfriend (Nicole, austrian) decided to go on worldtrip with our Defender (110, TD4, my 2010). In one year we made great experiences in Australia and South America. Currently we are in Peru heading to Bolivia. We'll arrive Vancouver by ship in May and our plan is to explore Canada for 6 months. Our lovely car has been modified to a overlander. If you're interested I can show you the setup in a different topic.

Now my questions:
When we arrive in Canada we need a proper service for our car. Can you guys recommend a dealer/garage in or around Vancouver? The car has still warranty so a "registered" dealer might be necessary. I'm not sure if the "normal" LR-dealers in Canada support defenders propperly, so I'm looking for a contact who's really into defenders.

We'll arrive in Vancouver 3 weeks before the ship with our car arrives. That means we're 3 weeks without our home. If you have any ideas about budget accomodation (housesitting, woof or hostal) we're glad to hear it.

The problem I think you might run into is that nobody here has likely worked on a Puma (possibly, even seen one!) as they're not permitted in North America, normally. A mains dealer might be an option as they'll at least have access to the LR information for the Puma. Please post up again when you're on the ground in Vancouver; would be great to meet up and see the overlander you've taken half way round the world already!

thx Ray and Paul, I'll check with the guys at Rovertech and Hesp. Any suggestions on main dealers? Just in case I need some parts which falls under warranty.

Even if the Puma is nearly inexistent in Canada, it's still a Defender (just another engine more or less). The engine I'm not really worried about, it's more on the parts which are coming afterwards. For example, I've got the "clonk" and a fairly decent clearance between axle shaft and flange (hope I'm using the right vocabulatory and you know what I mean).

@Paul: would be great to meet up, will let you know once we're ready to start in Vancouver.
