9 PIN trailer plug question

Does anyone know of a local supplier for 9 PIN trailer plugs? I want to tow a trailer with my Defender and it has a 9 PIN outlet with large round plugs which are larger than the Pollack-style small pin round plugs common to North America. The plugs on my truck looks original to the vehicle. Any leads would be appreciated.
Cheers, Rob

It is probably a European plug, which you won't find. You need to be careful as the European trailer wiring scheme is different than North America and you need to add some diodes to make it work.

try uhaul trailer rental, i think i have seen some in their outlets, as for what red90 mentioned, they also should have the harness with the little box for converting eurostyle to north american style.

Your best option, if you are only hauling North American wired trailers is to install the diode pack and a North American plug on the truck. You can get these at any auto parts store.

Thanks for the advice gents I will follow-up on the ideas.
For north american trailers my plan is to make an adapter complete with a diode black box to convert the 9 pin to either 7 blade or 4 pin. I am looking to maintain the 9 PIN system as it has a number of handy power leads that are not typical to north american models (such as a back-up light feed and a constant power feed even when the truck is switched-off). Plus the hardware on the truck is in great shape, are heavy duty and all the power feeds are working well.
That being said, I am wondering if anyone has found a local supplier of the 9 PIN plug hardware as I need one or two plugs in order to manufacture my adapters. Atlantic British supplies some but I am hoping to shop closer to home.
