These look like an easy mod – thanks Dave

Does anyone know how to gain more clearance from the off road height when you want more? I think its hold the brake for 5 seconds for a bit more lift if things are stretched (some sort of reserve?) but I’m not sure…..

Scraig, you are referring to "Extended Mode" it only effects the rear air springs.

Extended mode is activated 2 ways, Automatically when the LR3 is grounded out and spinning wheels results in no forward (or reverse ) progress, you will hear a single or double chime from the dash and the rear air springs will rise about 3 inches.

Manual activation of Extended Mode, LR3 must be in Low Range, apply foot brake and press and hold Suspension height lever up/forward until chime is heard and suspension rises (hold lever for about 10 seconds).

The suspension height indicator light will blink rapidly when in "Extended Mode".

The ride is very harsh in this mode as there will be virtually no suspension travel......while it often gets the vehicle going when stuck, it makes for poor driving performance without rear travel.

To get the rear springs back to off road height, pull back & hold briefly - release Suspension lever. Suspension should return to off road height.

My experience with LR3s coming down from Extended Mode, typically include the suspension continuing down to standard height (if you hold the lever a little to long) so keep an eye on the indicator.

On the odd occasion Extended Mode refused to reset until I cycled the ignition.

Extended Mode can be Automatically activated anytime you are spinning tires (while in Low Range) in mud, snow etc, not just when the LR3 is high centered or grounded out.
