Hi, I'm new to this site as well as Land Rovers.
I have owned over 30 different 4x4's untill buying a '95 Disco & joining this club.
I have been a member of a few different web site 4x4 clubs (BC4x4 & FunInBC). These sites have forums to post pics of your off road adventures as well as have regional outings as not everyone lives in Vancouver.
I realize that this site doesn't have the membership as these others, but I would like to read & see pics of other members outings & builds no matter how trivial.
The photo gallery has pics, but is not user freindly as it posts by member & not by date of trip nor does it alow captions for each picture..
It would also be nice to have an Okanagan chapter that could get together for outings, get togethers ect. & then post the events on this site.
Just me 2 cents, would like to hear others on such.

Hi Jeepingpw,
The gallery is set up by year, then by events throughout the year, but there is a members gallery area which is sorted by member name. I offered this to the membership a couple of years back, but to date not many have take us up on using it. I suppose they post their photos on other photo systems instead. Anyway, just let us know if you want your own gallery space and either Bill or I can set it up for you.

Also might be worth noting that there are many options in the photo gallery that aren't used on every album, such as captions, stories, videos, sub-albums...
We have several runs each year in the southern Interior, and one fairly big event, the Rover Ranch, in the Vernon area. Keep your eyes open for it. I'm also often looking for guys to get together for impromptu exploring, let's keep in touch...
As a club, we run province-wide, and haven't really seen the need or demand for regional chapters. We have a forum area for the folks on the Island, but this is just to accommodate their event and island specific discussions.
Our next big event is Founders Day on January 22nd. Why don't you join us there and at the AGM. A great chance to get to know us and see a bunch of Land Rovers.
Cheers, Dave

Hey? I'm not new here but I didn't know there was a site for photos posted by members. How do you get to it? When I click on "photo gallery" mine comes up with the albums sorted by year and event. I can't see a link to one by member. Am I daft (don't answer that) or blind (I'll pick the "blind" choice)?

I never put a direct link to this gallery directly as it shows up on the main gallery page -- and it never gained much traction from my forum post...
But if you want your own gallery send me a PM or email with the user credentials you want...

can we just post pics for ourselves or do we have to send pics to you everytime we want something loaded up?

If you get a members gallery you post the photos yourself, but only in your album and any sub-albums you make. The main photo gallery is maintained by Bill and this will continue to be the case as long as Bill keeps volunteering to do it.
Note, the member galleries are for Rover-landers members only and not for regular forum members.
Cheers, Dave
