There is a need for about 20 more VOLUNTEERS at the rally in MERRITT. oct 1 and 2. here is the link for the form and info\
I am sure they need more HAM RADIO OPPERATORS. its a lot of fun and great radio work, if the room is shared some of the cost is repaid.
It will be my 6th RACE to help at.
Hope to see some ROVERLANDERS there.

I see there is also a WCRA rally in Hope on 26th September.
What is the difference between the Canadian Rally Championship (in Merrit) and the West Coast Rally Association (in Hope)? Different associations? Same group? Anyone have any info to share?
Cheers,
Andy

From the RallyBC site this description applies to the Rallycross event in Hope.
"Rally Sprints are competition events where participants compete, one at a time, against the clock and total time taken over the competitive sections of the event determines placing. Rally Sprints are both a level of competitive event on their own and a development even preparing competitors for participation in performance rally events. Rally Sprints are meant to be designed to accent the development of vehicle handling skills while limiting both top and average speeds attainable by competitors.
Rally Sprints are tow basic types: (a) single course at a single venue (hereafter called Rally Cross) or (b) multiple courses at either a single venue or multiple venues which follow a rally format of stage and transit (hereafter called Rally Sprint)."
The Forest Rally is a full stage rally, where among other things all competitors will be on the course at the same time.

I'll be heading up to the PFR to help out on the Saturday with a buddy... I've been to watch rallyX in Hope, and it was a good time... I think they will also be talking to PFR volunteers at that event.
