If I where you I would find a used one or buy a new one from Rovers North ($159. plus shipping) or a local Supplier (Rovertech, Hesp, Wise Owl).
If your splines are shot the cost of rebuilding one (if possible) would be more than a new one...definitely less than a used.
My two cents.

It was some time ago, but...
I bought some surplus (new) drive shafts from W/O and had them shortened to fit my 88". It was cheaper than buying new u-joints to fit the older shaft with the older and smaller joints. New spline and yoke and new larger and cheaper uj's. It was just that easy folks.

I have been buying my drive shaft U-joint kits from Lordco
It takes me about 1 hr to change out both ends...
It helps if you have a good vice and circlip pliars.

If it is just U-joints, do it yourself. It is simple. Don't Series trucks use 1310 UJs?

Ser1 and early ser2 had a smaller 'T' section uj. These were very expensive at the time so I went the route I did. Later uj's seem more commonplace and, therefore, cheaper.
