Well, my frame is in a bad way and I'm really not super mechanically inclined. Where do you guys go to weld stuff up? Is there someone who does it in Victoria? I'd love to know!

Frame welding is a proposition fraught with liability for any commercial welder. If you do find someone to do this work for money, it will be a lot of money. The cheapo option is to get a friend to do it if you can. Second option is to see if the rust or damage is confined to an outrigger or cross member; these items are available from Land-Rover and the aftermarket and you may be able to talk a welder into re and re'ing the offending section. If the rot is extensive any sort of patching could quikly become uneconomical if your paying by the hour. Anything more than a few days of repair and you start to approach the price of a new chassis.

there is a guy in Hope, cheap and good. Usually does logging trucks and stuff but will also do 4x4s. Did a good job on my friends jeep. I can get his number if you want to come all this way...
