Gold Bridge

Seeing as the Inn is full at the Rover Ranch, Scott myself and the dog (Rudy) have decided to take a run up to the Gold Bridge area for the long weekend and see if we can find a nice spot to chill for a day or so.
As I have never been up the Hurley FSR, does anyone have any experience with this area and recommendations for a nice spot to camp? I understand there is an old ghost town from the Gold Rush days so might check that out as well.
I'm planning on leaving Thursday morning from North Van and if anyone wants to tag along drop me a line. This will be a cruise up some FSR's, nothing heavy just hopefully a nice camp spot to relax.
