The Rover-Landers of BC

I have a leak between the SPH and the Stub Axel on my 62 109" I pulled it apart and rebuilt the brakes and hub assembly and siliconed between the the two but it's leaking again... If if build a gasket from scratch what kind of material should I use or did I just do a crappy job on the silicon? Or better yet, what is the best practice here?

Since no one has piped up, here's what I ended up doing...
I made my own paper gasket and used "00" grease, seems to have done the trick but it's hard to tell as I'm still mucking about with my brakes so it's only been tested up and down my street.
