1964 Land Rover on craigslist

Spotted on Craigslist:
1964 Land Rover 88" Series IIA - $4500 (Maple Ridge)

2.25 L 4 cyl. motor with Weber carb. Runs very well. New clutch, exhaust, brake shoes, cylinders and hoses, re-cored radiator, re-lined fuel tank, all electrics work. Upholstery in good shape: has original rear bench jump seats. Includes original hand crank and workshop manual. Frame on this truck is excellent. Rear crossmember was replaced by the previous owner with factory correct replacement unit.
White 1968 88" complete parts truck is also available for $750. Has current registration but requires complete restoration. Body is straight but frame is rotten.
Old Land Rovers are incredible off-road vehicles and a tonne of fun. And because they are so simple to work on, even someone with basic mechanical knowledge/skills, can maintain and keep them going.
Pull the roof off, fold the windshield down and go on safari (or to the grocery store!)
