The Rover-Landers of BC

Had a leaky top rad hose on my 88 RRC recently and the local autoparts guys only listed a universal "flex hose" as a replacement. I told them to try a 96 Disco and wouldn't you know it.... they had one in stock! It fit the RRC with only a slight trimming at the end of the hose (cut off about 1/2 inch though it did fit OK un-cut as well) so the next time you need a rad hose for an older RRC try tricking the parts guy into thinking you have a Disco 1 instead! But, don't try this with the Crappy Tire guys as they are clueless with all things rover so an RRC or Disco are all Greek to them... local store in Nanaimo can't even figure out something as simple as a fan belt for the RRC or wiper blades for the D2 and then try to argue with me that they were never originally sold in North America :?
