The Rover-Landers of BC

Hi everyone,

I am hoping to interest any and all of you to volunteer as marshals for the Canadian Rally Championship. Oct 2nd and 3rd will see the national competitors in Merritt, BC. We need some dedicated people to stand out in the woods and help us guard intersections and take times. Please have a look at http://www.pacificforestrally.com/

Well we did see a land rover. Wow !! did we ever. Stuart Longair Was a volunteer with his "new 110. what a beauty, Bev and I had a great time volunteering at a COMSTOCK race friday night. Nicola North sat morning. Then back into south of town for a short course above the MERRITT MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL SITE. Then we had to beat it up to the FINISH OF HELMER, to do RADIO WORK there , long nights, awesome racing. It was quite a site in total darkenss to see the glow of the brake disc,s GLOWING CHERRY RED when they did the full stop to get their times after racing 22 km.s what a site, and smell. This is a great event for a HAM RADIO OPERATOR TO GET A LOT OF EXPERIENCE ON AIR, they need at least 15 to 20 more ham.s than they had. So think about it for next year, they help pay for the rooms. and the race wont run with out volunteers. off road racing on gravell roads at speed in just wonderful country. what more do you need.
