There will be a local run this Sunday March 22nd to Hale Creek beach which is on the West side of Harrison Lake.
This will be a laid back / social kind of day with time to have a fire and hot dogs on the beach.
Meeting at Micheals Cafe on Sunday morning, departure time is 10am (arrive earlier 9am - 9.30am for breakfast)
The cafe is located just after the railway track on highway 7 just a few kilometers past Mission heading East.
Forcast at the moment is for sun! Look forward to seeing you there.
cheers,
Andy

A friend is going to join us in his new FJ Cruiser. Ken's been out on a number of trips with me in past with his 4Runner, but this will be the FJ's first. :D
Sounds fun

Anyone have better directions to Michaels Restaurant in Mission?
I couldn't find it on Google maps.

So... Thanks for the address; I'll plug it into my GPS and we're all set. What do we need to bring along? Shaun was asking about a chain saw. Do you need mine? Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Hi David,
Sure, put your chainsaw in, you never know what we may find on the trail!
Even may come in handy for firewood chopping!
Its an easy run along the west side of Harrison Lake to Hale Creek, then it gets a little thinner and steeper as we decend down to the beach.
Weather permitting we will have a small fire and you can cook up some hot dogs or whatever ... or just bring along a sandwich.
cheers,
Andy

Thanks everyone for a great turn out, 13 trucks in total!
We enjoyed a few relaxing hours on the beach with warm sunshine on our faces :D
A nice little camp fire to cook up some hot dogs and coffee.
We took a couple of detours on the way home and I managed to get stuck in a water crossing (yes again  ) but it gave us a chance to get the winch and snatch blocks out (thanks Pete). My carpets are a little wet (yes again  ) but lots of fun and fresh air!
Looking forward to our next adventure which may just include a little Land Rover raft testing  Aargh... more wet carpets!
cheers,
Andy

Nice photos Gentlemen!
Thanks for sending them into the Gallery for all to share!
Could well be some shots there that we can use for the 2010 RL calendar,
