D2 & 3 amigo woes.....

Hi all,

My '99 D2 finally threw the dreaded '3 amigo's' warning lights a few weeks ago. I was fortunate enough to be going over to Calgary to visit my good friends at 'The Rover Shop' to collect my nice new Devon 4x4 D2 winch bumper and other goodies, so I got the drivers hub replaced & the SLABS reset.

All was good until last week when it threw the code again

As I didn't want to do either the Calgary or Vancouver round trip I've invested in the software/hardware from Blackbox Solutions to read & reset D2 fault codes. I have modules for Bosch ECU, SLABS, BCU & Airbags coming next week.... hopefully

So, if any members have a problem with their D2 & you can get to Revelstoke then I can help out.

Beer tokens are gratefully accepted to help offset the cost of the system as it wasn't cheap.... but neither is an overnight round trip to get your codes read & reset :D

Cheers,
Andy

Anyone who reads this tread should invest some money into a odb2 reader. Pay $200 now and save your self from Land rover dealer hourley rates.

Hi Andrew,

A ODB II scanner will work for generic engine faults but for the ABS & other sub systems you need a LR Test Book or similar as there not ODB II complient. That's why there so expensive. :x

Hi all,

Finally got my system up & running, had a few software probs but now all sorted.

So, my 3 amigo's are all reset and we'll see if it comes back. Fault list was showing intermittant signal from front drivers abs sensor. Since it's had a complete new hub assy it's prob a wiring issue. I have a nother sensor that wires right back to the ECU but we'll see what happens before we fit that.

Anyone up or way with a D2 & would like their faults reading... drop us a PM.... mines a pint of Begbie's finest ale

Cheers,
Andy
