On my trip to California I got an invite for the 2nd time to a private museum for tanks, the guy has about 211 AFV's including WWI tanks, Scud missile launchers and lots of other neat stuff, he also has about 4 guys working full time restoring the vehicles. His restorations are perfect and the Panther rebuild is somewhere around 1.4 million!!!

Colin,
Nice pictures, it looks like a great place to visit. I think I saw something about the owner and his collection on television. It looks like you had the place to yourself, pretty sweet. Where is it located? Any chance we mere mortals can check it out?

Thanks,
Pete

He was part of that rebuild a tank series, I got in because I belong a group called Tanknet and slimed and slithered my way into an invite!!

They just got the panther running, also see the other videos by 'caddydave" to get an idea of the scope of this rebuild. I will never whine about a landrover again!!

Here is a link to a story about the collection

Cool Schwimmer! I always wanted one of those. Tried to turn my bug into one quite regularly -- but not on purpose. Looks like hes got the ultimate shop for his toys.
