Why we love our Roof Tents....

Okay – You’re camping, wake up in the morning and just briefly look out the window to see that it’s a beautiful day and breakfast outside sounds like a GREAT idea.
You open the tent door and low and behold… someone else had the very same idea …
but they are just waiting for you to get moving on preparations ...

tents are tents....we slept inside our truck last week in Bella Coola for obvious reasons...
The rolling "heavenly bed"...4" of quality foam on anti-fatigue flooring glued on 3/4" ply.

Dave,
If you think being inside your Rover is safer than in a roof tent, you may want to reconsider. I sleep inside my 110 as well but think the height of a roof tent provides a good buffer as well. I say buffer because bears can get into anything if there's food in it. The "tent openers" you referred to are also effective can openers (see photo). The main thing is to make sure you and your food sleep in separate places...

I don't know how much difference that bit of height would make. if that bear was to stand on it's hind legs, the roof tent would be about waist high.
rather a nice height for a dining room table.... :lol:
other advantage of being inside, crawling into the drivers seat and getting the f- outta there without asking the bears permission to climb down a ladder.

I noticed his buddy in the truck wasn't in a rush to jump out and help, even after the bear trap was toppled off the back of the truck!
It would be great to see the following 10 photos...

I bet they rigged up a remote operated door on that trap before much longer... :roll:
