Hi All,

Hoping to draw from your wealth of expertise...

A friend of mine and I want to do a day trip next week and where wondering where we could go? We are not looking for anything extreme or wild, just a bit of "greenlaning" for the lack of a better description....I guess out here it would be "dirtlaning".

Looking at perhaps Thursday.

Any advice/direction would be appreciated.

Cheers,

DAve

Hi Dave. I would like to recommend driving up to the top of Black Tusk. The whole round trip including the highway drive to Whistler takes 6-7 hours and is spectacular. Access from function junction intersection in Whistler. Just follow the signs to the garbage dump and then keep going until you reach the telus towers at 7000 feet. Fantastic views, great place to hike or just have a picnic. The road is single lane dirt track with some steep assents where 4 LOW is definitely required. Haven't gone yet this year but make the trip 4 or 5 times every year. Sometimes trees block the road so a chainsaw is an asset. Have fun, bring a camera.
