The Rover-Landers of BC

I came home on friday night. to find my ROVER BROKEN INTO. locks etc broken. and about $1100.00 worth of things stolen. Here is the warning. I had a MAGELLEN GPS, an adjustable suction mount, and power cord. {ICBC WILL NOT COVER THE LOSS, IN THEIR WORDS. IT WASNT BOLTED DOWN,]. My house hold insurer. ING. will not cover it because it is part of the truck. i exlained it very well, it is also used for geocashing and hiking. .no dice. My inverter, is in the same situation, it wasnt bolted down. . so ICBC said no too.. oh well just becareful leaving it in your vehicle. all the best, rick.m, oh this is in BC, where i live.

Sorry to hear about your break in. I would push the insurance company a little, if its worth it. Just cause you use it in the car doesn't mean its part of it.... ICBC's argument, Compare it to a cell phone.

Then say You had a 10000$ videocamera in there to!! I bet they will pay up on the magellen if you forget about the camera!!(joke)

I did go at the insurance company, But with the threat of uping the deductable from $500.00 TO $2500.00 living in a condo, as well, it just isnt worth it. all the best, rick.m
