May 18 Region 2 meeting minutes
Tuesday, June 08, 2004
Tuesday May 18th
Call to Order: 7:31pm
Attendance: Rocco Baldassarre - Individual, Ryan Egger — HOT, Jarett Humphrey — Coquitlam Crawlers, Wes Rempel - HOT, Bill Van delight, - HOT, Lynn Anderson — HOT, Paul Gagnon — Individual, Dave Maxwell - HOT
Club Reports:
Coquitlam Crawlers — Jones Lake — Broke new guy’s truck, nice weather, and lake is down.
Couple members went to Quesnel.
Heard Of Turtles — Vedder Mountain, R2 to Sunrise. Camping this coming weekend.
Individuals — Lots has happened, but no wheeling. Paul got rear-ended.
Old Business:
New Storage Locker Research is in almost done.
Specialty Vehicle Association — nothing new
Sunrise — Some bench seats need replacing; fire rings are loose, very little litter.
Land Use:
Eagle Ridge clean up — Cancelled June 26th, city not being responsive, but Jarett still working on it.
Stave Lake Clean up — BBQ’s needed & Volunteers to BBQ. Coolers & tables needed. Seeing how much an add in the paper would cost.
Whipsaw — July 1-4 rundown, IRC will be there, Chris S is signing documents soon. Lots of stuff to use to build campsites. Still snowed in.
Sunrise Lake — some Bench seats need replacing, fire rings as loose, very little litter.
Still no response for new documents to be signed. Call Chris Gordon, put sign by tree line. Get Logging Company who wrecked last sign to pay for replacing it.
New Business:
Show & Shine has free area for Clubs to set up booth for the event. We need the displays & Brochures. Lynn and Andrea to go to Vancouver Island and pick them up from Lori.
X-Treme Event looking for area to hold event here in BC. Britannia Beach area. It’s an Obstacle course event. Will have it depending on Insurance. Washington location is now gone, and they now need a new one. May be looking for Volunteers if insurance goes through and site is found.
