I don't bother putting collision on my truck, just comprehensive and liability, with 14 years safe driver, and it comes out to $900 a year.

Wow, insurance on the lower mainland must be higher than on the Island. For 2 million 3rd party, 300 deductible collision & comprehensive and the Roadstar package, I pay $734 plus $61 for the licence. And that is for pleasure use and to & from work.
That is for the maximum safe-driver's discount but it sounds like you have that too.
Of note: When I first insured this when I bought it, my papers had it registered as Make "Land Rover" Model (something). The agent had the book open and I noticed that there was a listing for Model "2A". This made a difference on the insurance price.

Hi Greg,
I'll have to look into the make/model when I renew. Another factor is going to be that I'm on autoplan12, which cost a few percent to finance the insurance, but I've just got too many vehicles licensed to pay it in a lump.
And yes, the primary operating region changes the cost as well. Oh, and did I mention AirCare?
BTW, are you interested in Northwest Challenge this year?
Dave
NW challenge.

Just this minute I sent an Email to Don about being available for NW Challenge---But not with my LR. I have some welding to do, brake work and a tranny change. I don't think it would all be done. Could be a navigator or?

Cool, I navigated last time for Phil and it worked well. Didn't David navigate for John Parsons?
I'm going to drive this time, so I'll need a navigator -- unless my wife decides to come along.
