The 11A-111 trans is not up to the 200Tdi.
Yes, it will hold together for a while...I understand some people report that reasonable life can be expected. My experiance is that there is rapid wear at the pinion and potential for layshaft damage especially on the crash box (pre S111).
I have some brand New Santana gear boxes that will handle the power but they are expensive. Call for details.

How about this. Is it difficult to fit the lt77and lt230 to the series 11a? Currently, the gearbox and transfer case are attached to the 200tdi.
I have pondered fitting the 200tdi to my series. It's not at all why I bought the engine. The plan was to fit the 200 to my 110, and the 2.5 to my series. However, the thought of a series with a tdi is making me waste everyone's time answering my questions! Cheers from Rossland!
By the way, it was a cool 39 C today. The gm diesel came up the trail hill and the oil temp maxxed out at 85 C. But thats for another post.
Maybe I'll start writing my autobiography here on roverlanders.

If the 200 tdi is from a discovery it may foul the steering column as the turbo sits low and to the left.
It would go in to a RHD better/easier I'd guess.

People have done it. I don't know the details....
But if you have a 110, it is straight drop in. A light weekend and it will be done assuming you have the rest of the bits.

Wow that looks like alot of work. I thinks it's going to have to be 200 to 110 and 2.5 to 88!
Anyone want to come to a 200 fitting party?
