Land Rover Laager, one week away.

One week till the 5th annual Land Rover Laager!
The feild has been kept nicely mowed and I'll have a new sun shade (aka rain shelter) for the event this year. New cedar poles for the tri-pods and a new ridge pole. When you see it, you'll want to know the story behind the ridge pole. 47 feet long by an even 6 1/2 inches. You'll want to know how the "H" I got it home. Let's just say that David carried it home on the handle bars of his bicycle. Don't beleive that? Then how about we brought it home on the trailer behind the garden tractor?
I'm off to town for a new tarp tomorrow and have to get David to give me a ride in his Jeep to check out the road and snow conditions to Silver Lake for our Sunday drive. A Jeep? Oh, all these hardships I have to go through for these events.
Looking forward to seeing a lot of the Rover Landers and others pulling into the back yard next Saturday.
Take care and see you on the 9th.
