I just brought in a 1991 110 pick-up with a 200Tdi. After driving a Series 3 for 23 years, it drives great. Highway speed is no problem. The LT230 transfer case is offered in a few different ratios, so know what you are getting. Make sure the output shaft on the tranny(LT77)is in good shape, because repair can be expensive. I bought a base truck and added everthing I wanted in the way of accessories in England as the prices are a lot cheaper. I was a little nervous not actually seeing the truck in person and inspecting it but finding a reputable dealer is the key. The others who have responded have given you good advice I think. Here is my advice and caution. Don't be sucked in by the apparent low prices in England. Long distance shopping is risky business unless you have very good eyes and ears acting on your behalf on the other side of the pond. Do your reasearch thoroughly, I can tell by some of your indecision over engine choices that you need to spend more time assessing the differences before starting to shop on-line. No Landrover is going to be cheap if it is worth owning. If you think $3500 to repair the tranny in your Pathfinder is expensive, you ain't seen nothin' yet. Just bringing a resonable truck purchase back up to good running condition will run into thousands if your not really carefull :cry: Even if you can do alot of the work yourself and use used or jobber parts, things like brake jobs, input gear replacement/gearbox overhaul injection pump rebuild, tires, rot repair .... will wipe out anything you thought you were saving by getting a "good" deal from England. Like Luke says, there are plenty trucks already here that can be viewed up close and present alot less risk. Unless of course you have your heart set on a particular truck that has taken your fancy :)
