Mike,
I just brought in a 1991 110 pick-up with a 200Tdi. After driving a Series 3 for 23 years, it drives great. Highway speed is no problem. The LT230 transfer case is offered in a few different ratios, so know what you are getting. Make sure the output shaft on the tranny(LT77)is in good shape, because repair can be expensive. I bought a base truck and added everthing I wanted in the way of accessories in England as the prices are a lot cheaper. I was a little nervous not actually seeing the truck in person and inspecting it but finding a reputable dealer is the key. There are companies you can hire to do a thorough inspection but they are not cheap. If you want any other info or advice, let me know and I'll help if I can. E-mail me at [email protected]
