I don't know about your Range Rover, but I've added significantly taller tires to my 99 Discovery II with no problems to ABC, ETC or HDC. I put on 235/85R16 BFG All Terrains.

Taller tires won’t affect the performance of the ABS system. All ABS tries to do is keep all your wheels turning at about the same speed, ABS couldn’t care less about tire size  …in fact you could have 4 different tire sizes & ABS will still do its job. Of course the taller tire will have affect on braking performance…may be noticeable may not.
Taller tyres on a RRC

Hi Mark,
I have 235-85-16 BFG Mud terrains on my 1991 RRC & have not noticed any negative effects on the ABS, braking or steering.
What you will notice is a slight mis-reading on your speedometer, it is out about 10kph at 100kph. (5kph at 50kph).
If you are thinking of bigger tyres you should consider swapping standard coils & shocks to something like the uprated Old Man Emu parts that will give you a 1 to 2 inch lift. (a straight forward simple swap of old parts off & new parts on, nothing technical involved).
cheers,
Andy

Hi Mark,
Basically, an ABS system will moniter the rate-of-change in rotational wheel speed at each wheel; therefore, the accual speed does not matter. During braking if any one or two or three wheels is slowing down "too fast" it will release hyrdaulic pressure to the brake caliper at the wheel to stop it from locking up. If a wheel locks up and "skids" you have less friction or traction and you will not stop as fast.
With that being the case, technically tire size should not effect the ABS system, but the entire vehicle has been engineered to function with the original tire size.
Theory aside, practice has shown that tire size up to 235/85/R16(approx 805.9mm) do not affect the vehicles performance beyond a reasonable level.
Stock size for a disco is 255/70/R16(approx 763.4mm) and other common bigger sizes are 245/70/R16(approx 749.4mm) and the 235/85R16 mentioned several times above.
So the answer to your question is, go for it!! :)
BTW, what springs did have installed?

Hi Mark,
Air Conditioning repairs and the conversion should be done by a qualified and certified repair facility. There are very strict laws about the release of Refrigerant (R-12 and R134a), both are Ozone Depleting Substances.
There are special machines which can recover and recycle the refrigerant without releasing it to the envirnoment.
I would recommend having the work done at a certified shop like a landrover dealer or:
ANGLO CANADIAN AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLY LTD.
