Is this trip still on? No details have been posted on the calendar and it is scheduled for next weekend.

I was supposed to be organizing this one but family commitments require me to be in North Vancouver Saturday.

I had been planning a campout at Gwynith or Kingdom lake and an exploritory run up green mountain to see how things have changed...

I could do a Sunday run instead, what does everyone want???

Later,
Don

I'd like to make a weekend of it. Leaving Friday night, coming back Sunday night. Anyone else planning on attending?

Martin,

This trip should be a good one to get you started. On an exploration trip to an area we have not been in a while there is no guarantee as to what we might come across but it is not likely to be to severe. The last time we ran up Green mountain the trails were a little overgrown so some BC pinstriping was received by the shiny trucks but nothing that did not buff out. It is our understanding that some logging has since been done so the condition of the road is unknown to us.

On most of the runs there tends to be a number of members with several years of experience so if you are willing to listen watch and learn, and you let us know that you would like some pointers, you will be in good hands.

So, if we attempt to fit in Green mountain on Sunday, what do you want to do Saturday? Where is Green Mountain?

We also should establish the meeting place for Friday night and where we're going to camp so that anyone wanting to meet up with us Saturday morning knows where they can find us. Sorry, I'm not as familiar with that area as I should be.

Thanks Wes, looks like the creek crossing was a bit of fun! A nice area we haven't explored for a few years.

I would think the best place to meet would be the Petro Can in Pemberton on fiday night. time?
What about camping on Fricday & Saturday night?

OK, thanks all for the feedback. Here's the plan...

Since the time is getting late for decision making and we don't have a meeting to discuss it, I'm make a few presidential decisions.

Friday Night

Departure time and meeting point Friday evening will the the Squamish McDonald's Parking lot at 7 PM.

Friday night camping should be in the Pemberton vicinity, so it's an easy drive to the Petrocan in the morning. I suggest camping along the Lillooet River or perhaps before then along Hwy 99, but this can be decided as we proceed on Friday night.

Saturday Morning

Lets meet at the Petrocan on Saturday morning at 10 AM. That way anyone coming up on Saturday morning can join us.

Saturday night will be somewhere along the Hurley Rd, perhaps Hope Creek, Gwyneth Lake or Hurley River, or possibly even Bralorne/Goldbridge.

Sunday Morning

Sunday morning we will meet at the turn off to Green Mountain at 10 AM for anyone wanting to join us. I think that's about 1.5 hour's drive north of Pemberton so allow yourself time to get there if you're coming up for the day.

Please let me know if you're planning on coming up later than Friday night so we know to look out for you.

Thanks, Dave

Cheers

I think Bill may have vhf. I only have a CB that works sometimes.

My cell is 309-1489, but likely there's no service outside of Pemberton.

Hi Guys, I'll meet up with you in Pemberton at 10 at the Petrocan on Saturday Morning. I will be on VHF but unfortunately I don't have the channel frequency available for you at the moment.

Another great trip! After listening to the lady from the museum in Bralorne talk about "Minto" I took another look at my map and realized that this was the town flooded by the Carpenter Lake reservoir. I found this info on the area that I though others might find interesting.
