The Rover-Landers of BC

This 2006 Land Rover LR3 4.4 V8 HSE is named Mega. Short for Megalodon. One of the largest predators to ever live on earth. This is what she looked like on the test drive (just before her maiden voyage with me at the helm across the Salish Sea!) on Saturday April 23rd, 2022. We bought Mega in Victoria after going over an excruciatingly long checklist - every switch was pressed and every door or compartment or hatched or window was opened. We drove fast and slow and tried all the air suspension settings and even dialed through the terrain response system settings in a gravel lot beside a park. We went through every stereo mode and climate control setting and interior and exterior light switch. It was thorough, if not a bit ridiculous. The salesman was very patient. And they had me right where they wanted me, knowing I had come over to the island from the mainland for this truck. So after the test drive that wouldn't end, we went a few blocks away to a gem and mineral store to think things over and discuss in private. Rachel bought some crystals and I found a massive serrated fossilized tooth from an ancient and extinct shark.. ..so it began!
And this is how she looks today, 1 month shy of 3 years later, on a great RoverLanders trip with the club! I am so glad Mega came into my life, because I have made more new friends and learned more about vehicle systems and this big beautiful province than I could have ever dreamed.
