1986 110 County For Sale - PRICE REDUCED!

Hi All,
I'm selling my 1986 110 County, affectionately known as Big Blue.
I imported the vehicle from Australia in 2005. It was a friend's daily driver for a few years in Australia before that. Big Blue is well travelled – in 2006 the same friend borrowed the vehicle and drove from Vancouver to Panama and back.
The vehicle is right hand drive and has a factory fitted Isuzu 4BD1, 3.9 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine. This engine was specified by the Australian military for use in their 110 Perentie 4x4s. The Land Rover engine available at the time was not considered to have the required level of performance and reliability. The Isuzu engine is incredibly tough and is considered good for a million kilometres if well maintained. It does not use a timing belt or chain – the cam and power steering pump are gear driven.
Land Rover made the Isuzu engine available to the civilian market in Australia and this vehicle was purchased new with the Isuzu engine. The gearbox is an LT85 5 speed and the vehicle has power steering.
The vehicle has an indicated 383,000kms (approx. 239,000 miles) and this could well be genuine. It's in great shape for its age and mileage.
The vehicle runs, drives and stops very well. It is mechanically sound, with the usual minor oil weeps. The exhaust system will need replacing soon, at least in part. The vehicle was fitted with air conditioning when new, but this expired long before it left Australia. As the air con system was never very good or reliable, the compressor was converted to provide compressed air instead. There are side facing rear seats with the vehicle, but they are not bolted in (it's not that I'm lazy, I've lost the bolts).
The vehicle has never been welded or painted and has a lot of what barn find enthusiasts like to call “patina” or “character”. There are small rust perforations in the rear crossmember and at the base of each “C” pillar, but these could easily be repaired (see photos). The chassis has some surface rust which would clean off and the door frames are in remarkably good shape.
Located in lower mainland BC, very close to the US border.
Asking CDN$27,500. CDN$25,000
