1997 Land Rover Discovery SE7 (USA import)
160,000 Miles (engine and transmission have less)
Epsom Green
Originally 4.0 Gas, converted to 300Tdi with all Land Rover components. The conversion was bought as a complete kit new from Land Rover and included everything for a proper factory conversion.
Registered as diesel.
300Tdi was rebuilt in 2013 by Magnum Engines with OEM components and new head, rebuilt turbo and injectors, services injector pump. Engine has 70,000KM on rebuild.
R380 Gearbox
Defender 1.41:1 transfer case gives better gearing for larger tires.
Recent rust repair done, including front and rear quarter panel removal, welding & patching all rust areas found (All the common ones on D1), sealing underside and top. Always more to be done :roll:
Camel cut fenders to accommodate 32” tires
Full Aluminum Rocky Mountain Products rack
Safari Snorkel and sealed Defender round air filter box (Original Tdi Discovery square box available)
Superwinch X9 winch in custom hidden mount behind stock bumper.
Dual Battery setup (Only one battery currently installed.)
Digital Temp, Oil Pressure, EGT and Boost Gauges installed in place of ashtray.
Old Man Emu +1.5” Springs
Manual cloth seats in good shape, no tears, factory rubber floormats.
Rear loadspace dog guard/gear shelf.
Factory rubber floor mats and cloth loadspace mat
No Sunroofs!

Known issues:
Rear shocks are tired
Roof clear coat is fading.
Power steering box leak
Rear drivers window motor needs replacing (I have one to be installed)

Nice looking vehicle. Sorry for the cynicism, but I wouldn’t call a Dodge Caravan an upgrade over your Disco.

Thank you! It was intended to be entirely sarcastic. I should have used “upgrade” :roll:

Will miss the car, but in all the years I’ve owned it I haven’t done much with my Series cars, and that’s where I want to focus what precious free time I have!

I know what you mean. After I got my P38 and D2 I found I wasn’t using the 2A much at all anymore. I also needed to downsize by one and I sold the 2A last year.
