Looking for a Canadian parts supplier (BC or Vancouver Island in a perfect world). Looked at the supporters list but I think it might be out of date. Who are you using?
Thanks,

For Disco parts (new) I used Lordco or Three Brothers Rovers in Ontario as well as parts avatar online with some good success. For used parts there is Tony in Duncan and Shane in Nanaimo who have a pretty good collection of disco parts cars.

Thanks Rob. I need the short heater hose that connects to the manifold (among other things). I called locally, including Lordco, and no one could find a listing despite me providing the LR part number. Figured this was a bad sign and I better find a parts supplier. I can order it through Amazon but would rather not if there's a vendor I can support.

For Lordco or the local parts stores I look-up a manufacturer number in advance for the parts counter person (such as a Dayco or Gates number) as Land Rover part numbers usually don't cross-reference in their databases. I've had pretty good success with Partsavatar.ca

Hope you find what you're looking for!

Cheers.

Rock Auto has a lot of Disco parts as well. Ordering from the UK is also generally very reasonably priced (except large or heavy orders are expensive to ship) and as quick as RA.

PEH101530 is the Land Rover #. I haven't found a listing for it through Rock Auto, Carparts, Dayco, or Gates yet.

if you really need it, LR dealers could get it overnight from toronto

you could try a 3/4" ID heater hose in a pinch, stretch out one end like a butt plug :albino:

have you tried Jeremy @ rocky mountain products

"you could try a 3/4" ID heater hose in a pinch, stretch out one end"

I think that might be what the PO did. It looks pretty bad and I'm worried it could fail.

"have you tried Jeremy @ rocky mountain products"

I haven't. Will look him up.
Thanks,

LRDirect, even with the shipping, will be cheaper than any local parts supplier, and often faster. You'll also get a choice of what brand you get. Since the D1 has so many parts in common with the Defender, you will have no problem getting stuff out of the UK. The only challenge is that you need to know what the part number is for what you're looking to get. They don't charge duty, only PST/GST, and ship via DHL. Often I'll order something Monday morning and it's at my door from the UK on Thursday morning.

Even the genuine one is probably cheaper with shipping than it would be at the dealer!

Reach out to Hesp Automotive in Port Moody, they are great to deal with, and can get pretty much anything (if they don’t happen to have it in stock already!).
