CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

OKAY!
Pissed off as the light comes on and off every few weeks!
since i have done a few mods to the ignition and exhaust the 96 disco runs strong and i mean strong. dont have a ody reader yet but im beting on the cats are starting to fail.
The disco had an air care pass Air care i dont worrie about as the disco is reg at powwell river where our house is at.
Can i take the bulb out to stop it coming onand off , im looking for the cheeper route.

Some times the cheap way out costs more in the long/short run you should take it to some one like Keith Robinson to take a look and at least know what you are ignoring.
He is listed in the supporters page. Give him a call and make an appointment its well worth the money to at least diagnose properly.

There is a very good range rover sight that might be of interest to you (similar vehicle systems) at http://www.rangerovers.net/ There is a great section on common problems (and fixes) including the "check engine "light mystery. Hope this info helps - I found it very useful helping me with my Range Rover Classic.

The light went off the next day !
I think i will go and purchase a reader so i can see what the problem is when the light comes on again.
