Wanted: On the hunt for my first Landy!

Good morning everyone!
My name is Keenan and I am brand new to the forum and have also just become a proud Roverlander member. I've been a fan of Land Rovers (Specifically series models) for a long time and though I've had British vehicles, both cars and motorcycles through the years, I've never pulled the trigger on the gem that is a Landy. So, after much salesmanship and brownie points being cashed in, my wife has agreed, we need to add a Landy to our garage! I am on the hunt for a vintage landrover, series 2, 2A or 3, 88 or 109, original condition or tasteful modified - I plan to make it into a proper adventure/expedition truck that gets out into the bush and will be used for camping, diving trips and family outings. Something that has had some mechanical love and is running well would be ideal as I don't want to bite off too much of a project (Though I do enjoy tinkering). Knowing it's very easy to get carried away with purchase price (I shudder at what I see on BAT LOL) I'd like to keep my purchase ideally sub 20G. I live in Coquitlam and can travel to the right truck, I'd also love to just check out some Rovers that are around (Don't need to be for sale) as I'd love to experience and discuss with you lot, your trucks, your thoughts and get involved with the community. Please feel free to send me a message if you have one available or would just be open to showing me yours and giving a newbie some pointers/departing some well earned knowledge - I'll bring the beer! Thank you all, I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
