Speedi sleeves that don’t cost a fortune

I’m looking for an alternative to the SKF speedi sleeve part number 99162 for series gearbox output flanges. I’m getting quotes around $75 for one, which seems way too high for one sleeve! Maybe I’m just cheap, but has anyone found an alternative part? I know there are other makers out there and recall on our old forum someone posted information about a local shop in Vancouver that made these?

Didn't @theanachronist post about a place here in Langley?

Thanks Martin! I looked at that website but I couldn’t find the part listed when I looked? Guess I needed to know it fits a Saab!

Actually, it’s not so surprising. Little known fact - Back in the 60’s and 70’s, Saab and various British auto makers had a close working relationship. The slant 4 engine in my 1980 Triumph TR7 (written off in an accident in 1983) and the Saab engine of that era were designed together. They were so close that most internal parts were interchangeable. Same with some of the transmissions of that era.

The local manufacturer is Dura Sleeve in Port Kells. They are excellent to deal with.
