Anybody know this 'Roverlanders' S2a 109?

#1 Post by lromanosky » Sun Nov 22, 2020 9:50 am

I'm looking for some history on this 1959 S2A 109 Pick Up that I bought on Vancouver Island in 2014. Anybody know who owned it? It has a Roverlanders sticker in the cab window. It was green when I found it, now it's blue!

What’s the VIN of the truck? I brought a 1959 109” in from Saskatoon in 2002 to Victoria. It was light green inside when I sold it in 2006 but I believe it was totally repainted by the new owners.

I really like the blue you have chosen , looks great with the fresh galv. Looks like you have swapped a deluxe bonnet for a standard ?

Here is a 'before' and work-in-progress of the interior. I'm refinishing the deluxe bonnet, I just put the 'utility' one there to see what it looked like in bare aluminium, which is the finish I'm going to use for the deluxe - just working on it now...

Yes that’s my old truck! I’ll dig up some pictures and post them. It used to have a full hard top with VW van windows in the sides.

Whatever you can tell me about the history would be appreciated. I'm interested to know when the engine was rebuilt, and what was done to it. As well as the axles and any other work. Thanks Matt
