Well the the last trip put a wee dent in my rear bumper so time for an upgrade, seeing everyone wants $700 -1200 for the plastic one the boss ok'd steel.

After much research I ordered from Paddock Spares, best overall price.

A big box arrived today from Paddock Spares ! Rear Heavy Duty Bumper DA5646
Bumper was $346.00 CDN
Shipping was $296.00 CDN
Duties etc $80.00 CDN
Total $722.00 over 100.00 cheaper than the nearest US quote

Moulding Bits 114.00

Damage - result of dropping off a rock on the trip down to Hale Creek on the bad road.

Bumper is pushed up a bit maybe 1/4 of inch or a little more and most the clips that retain the plastic cover are blown out

The big box delivered at 3:00 Pm today

And the bumper, seems pretty well built, it has a couple of additional recovery points as well as 2 Hi-lift jacking points. Not sure I would use those as I have a hitch.

With luck I will start the replacement tomorrow weather and wind permitting

Hey Richard,

Very nice! You now also have some hi-lift points which are always handy! Does it need some extra paint before install or is it ready to go?

Cheers
Andy

PS- ...... why do you still have the ex-wife's skull in the garage

@ANDYD it came ready to go, looks pretty straight forward but the center bolts are typically short so I will need to get a couple of those before I mount it.

Fortunately I have a bunch of milk crates and 4x4 so holding it place will be easy just need no rain for day, drizzle is ok

Oh that old thing, would make a hood ornament I think
