So redoing my 109, couple of brake related questions

How does one protect the uncovered braking surface of a drum on a vehicle that sits a lot?

any newer brake fluid good for Series trucks than the old Castrol DOT 4?

Hey Colin,

1. You can only keep the drums dry and make sure your axle breathers are working (prevents diff oil being pushed through the seals, ruining your pads). First time you use the vehicle after sitting a while any rust will disappear as soon as you hit the brakes the first time.
2. Any Dot 3/4 brake fluid will be fine. Keep away from Dot5. I've been told by many that it will rot your seals.
